Some people make a big deal about oxygen reduction potential ORP, but there is no evidence that ORP lower than -400 (for example like -800) offers any additional health benefit. In fact on the most popular alkaline water video circulating on the internet; shows that doctors in Japan have been using -238 ORP water with great success. Also the truth is that some of the higher priced models do not achieve a lower reading than -150. As proof of this look at that video of a guy testing the Aquarius, the Tyent 5050 and the expensive Leveluk SD501 and none of them reached -150. Most times you only read about these machines achieving -800 but you can never see a video showing the machines ever getting to that level. Furthermore I have tasted water that had an ORP of -560 and it tastes like medicine. I don't think that anything beyond -400 is meant for human consumption. That's just our opinion. This is why we will not make a big issue out of ORP on this site. ORP is an imperfect science and we don't think that consumers should generate too much acid over it. The benefits of ionized water has historically been due to its alkalinity and that's why it is widely called alkaline water not ORP water. Would I prefer to drink water with at least some negative ORP? Sure. All the machines on our site can produce some negative ORP and high quality alkaline water and best of all they are affordable.
