This Fluoride Removal Filter is a non-regenerable drinking water and general-purpose cartridge designed to reduce fluorides to below 0.5 ppm. It is constructed totally from FDA grade materials and media. Currently the EPA allows municipalities up to 4ppm of fluoride to be put in city water. Whether you realize it or not there is a growing body of evidence that indicates that fluoride in drinking water is doing much more harm than any benefit. Our Fluoride Removal filter gives you the power to drastically reduce your exposure to fluoride, a substance which a growing number of health experts now regard as a poison. Our fluoride filter utilizes a special fine mesh activated alumina that has been pre-conditioned specifically for single use cartridge applications. Laboratory evaluations have demonstrated that this pre-conditioning step will increase the Fluoride filter's capacity to as high as 11000 ppm F+ with effluent levels below 0.2 ppm from 10 ppm F+ feed.

 

High pH, high bicarbonate levels and high flow rates all adversely affect the capacity of the AAL. For best results, do not exceed recommended flow rates and pH conditions. For influent streams above 100 ppm of bicarbonate, reduce capacity by 50%; above 200 ppm, reduce capacity by 75%.

 

ARSENIC
The AAL has also been shown to reduce arsenic to below 0.02 ppm (from 0.12 ppm feed). However, the total capacity for arsenic has yet to be determined.

 

LEAD
A small amount of lead is also reduced with the use of this filter.
